Introducing WaikanAI: The Only AI Built Exclusively for the Kāpiti Coast
After months of development (and several flat whites), VF Digital is thrilled to announce the launch of WaikanAI — the world’s first hyper-local artificial intelligence platform built exclusively for businesses on the Kāpiti Coast.
Unlike generic AI tools that try to serve everyone, WaikanAI understands what really matters: everything between Paekākāriki and Ōtaki, and absolutely nothing else.
How does WaikanAI work?
WaikanAI was trained on a carefully curated dataset including every Kāpiti Coast community Facebook group post since 2014, the full archives of the Kāpiti Observer, and 11 years of Paekākāriki Hill Road closure notices.
The result? An AI that truly understands us.
Key features include:
- Geo-fencing so aggressive it’s practically a border. WaikanAI refuses to acknowledge anything south of the Haywards or north of Levin. Ask it about Auckland and it simply responds: “That’s not my problem.”
- Automatic copy enhancement. Every piece of content WaikanAI generates automatically includes the phrase “just over the hill from Wellington” at least once. Because we all know that’s how we sell it.
- Wind-adjusted scheduling. WaikanAI monitors live weather data and automatically delays your social media posts during a northerly, because nobody’s in a good mood when the wheelie bins are airborne.
- Built-in Kāpiti translator. WaikanAI knows that “Paraparaumu” has at least four accepted pronunciations and won’t judge any of them. It also auto-corrects “Waikanae” to “Waiks” for all casual communications.
- Local SEO so powerful it’s unfair. Ask WaikanAI to write a Google Ads headline and it will return: “We’re Not Wellington. We’re Better. Click Here.”

Pricing
WaikanAI is available on three plans:
- Paekākāriki Plan — Basic. Like the village itself: small but mighty.
- Paraparaumu Plan — Pro. Comes with everything, including things you didn’t ask for, much like Coastlands on a Saturday.
- Ōtaki Plan — Enterprise. Premium support, artisan datasets, and a complimentary outlet shopping voucher.

What’s next?
We’re already working on WaikanAI 2.0, which will include integration with the Kāpiti Coast District Council’s consent portal (estimated launch: 2037) and a predictive model for whether the Waikane Pools will be open on any given Sunday.
WaikanAI is available from today. Sort of. Yeah Nah… not really. Happy April Fools’ Day Kāpiti. 🎣
We might not have built a real AI for the Coast, but we do build real websites, run real Google Ads and write real SEO content that actually gets Kāpiti businesses found online.
